Everyone in Malaysia knows that the chief religious adviser to Mahathir is the blogger called Syed AKBAR Ali .  

 Akbar Ali is know for this vulgar and consistent attacks on the mainstream religious establishment on his blog “outsyedthebix” . 

 With him advising. Mahathir, it is expected that many of the Islamic institutions in Malaysia will be dismantled.

In 2008 Syed AKBAR ALI was charged for sedition in Malaysia for insulting the religion of Islam.  However the charge against him was dropped due to interference from Mahathir.
