So now PM Najib visits Anwar Ibrahim in hospital when the former underwent a surgery.  

The following day, DPM Zahid Hamidi visited Anwar ! 

So what's happening Malaysians ask ? 

This is not a case of "no permanent friends or enemies in politics". To begin with Anwar and Najib were never personal enemies. Najib had never tried to make Anwar a wild outcast in the political jungle as did Mahathir. 

Mahathir sacked Anwar from UMNO and threw him into political wilderness for more than 16 years till today. He was brought to court and found guilty on abuse of power and sodomy charges during Mahathir's time. Gani Patail was the Attorney General that time.  

No not that. Mahathir when he was still in UMNO made sure that he humiliated Anwar by reminding everyone that Anwar was a convicted sodomist . That's Mahathir who goes overboard in killing his political enemies .

Not Najib. True, Anwar faced sodomy charge 2 and was convicted during Najib's tenure. And the attorney general is still Ghani Patail, the leftover from Mahathir era . 

The difference is that Najib never once made capital of this sodomy charge 2.  He never went down to humiliate Anwar or his family.

It was at the worse a political fight between the head of Barisan Nasional and the de facto head of Pakatan Rakyat. That's all. 

So, Anwar whose life was cruelly destroyed by Mahathir is going to work closely with Mahathir in general elections 2018? For what ? To make sure that Mahathir's son, Mukhriz Mahathir has a lease of life in politics ? So that Mukhriz has a shot at being PM if the new Harapan Rakyat wins ?

Read between the lines and you will see what's happening.  Najib visits Anwar and it's an open secret that Anwar is treated well even as a prisoner under Najib as PM. Not so when Mahathir was PM. 

So now Najib and Zahid visits Anwar . What's ahead? Is Mahathir worried ? He should be . More accurately, his son Mukhriz and the insignificant Muhyiddin should be !
