The Irony of the Democrat Dictator called Mahathir Mohammad and his magic !

Mahathir is a maverick and a  magician who believes in his own magic. However, it is not entertaining but pitiful. 

He actually believes that he has achieved much progress for Malaysia due to all the infrastructure, and mega projects that he has developed within the klang valley. Never mind the fact that the rest of Malaysia is not developed. Never mind the  fact also that Malaysia is left behind by countries like Korea, Japan and Singapore which was behind Malaysia when Mahathir took over as prime Minister.  He believes in his own magic.

He also believes that in his 22 years, he has built a confident and stable Malaysia that all Malaysians can be proud of. Never mind the fact that he has single handedly destroyed the judiciary and made it corrupt. The Malaysian Bar council had distanced itself from the judiciary during Mahathir's tenure as Prime Minister because it had no credibility and integrity. The restoration of the judiciary's credibility only began  during Abdullah Badawi's tenure as Prime Minister.

Mahathir belittled the academics who criticised his policies by telling them to stand for elections if they felt strongly about their views. He did not like alternative views even if they came from the academic intelligentsia.  At the end of the day, during his era, he came out standing as the brightest - because the rest were silenced !

The memali incident which saw many Malays dead is blamed on Musa Hitam. The destruction of Al Arqam, another Malay community which created a self sustaining model was destroyed. All this happened during Mahathir's tenure as Prime Minister - but of course these are not his faults. He is above blame. His magic is that he is still a hero of the Malays. Magic ! 

He laid the foundations for the evolution of the extremist face on Islam politically, legally and socially. He began the Islamisation policy and empowered Jakim, the so called Malaysian Department for Islamic Development. He also amended the federal constitution by including article 121A which effectively not only caused a conflict and confusion between syariah and civil courts but curtailed the powers of the civil courts.

To make matters even worse, contrary to the spirit of the Malaysian Constitution, he proclaimed that Malaysia was an Islamic state - all for political gains.

To appease the Malay masses, he started the program of sending many Malays with lower grades to study religious degrees in the middle east. Graduating and finding no jobs - what do you think they would do? 

The very man that was prosecuted and jailed during his premiership, Anwar Ibrahim, Mahathir now wants to work with him in politics ! Anwar Ibrahim lost 20 years of his life in political wilderness and Mahathir says " just forget the past" ! Mahathir magic.

Just after forming UMNO baru and getting rid of his competitors within the party, he had the ops lalang where almost the entire opposition and civil society members were arrested under the draconian ISA. He had two years without disent to consolidate his political position.

Today, he calls Najib Tun Razak, the current Prime Minister of Malaysia of creating a police state in Malaysia. Malaysians remember that Mahathir as Prime Minister arrested thousands under the draconian Internal Secuirty Act while Najib abolished the Act ! Many remember that many citizens fear discussing many things because of the ISA. 

It is an open secret that abolishing the Act was one of the factors that Mahathir began to dislike Najib as Prime Minister.  He felt that this will loosen UMNO's grip on racial politics ie as the saviour of the Malays.  Najib, it was rumoured was prevented from abolishing the Official Secrets Act by threats from some UMNO warlords backed by Mahathir and Muhyiddin just before the UMNO Assembly.  

When Najib introduced the 1Malaysia policy, Mahathir had, then went around accusing Najib of  abandoning the rights of Malays in preference of the Chinese. Everyone in Malaysia know that number of cronies of Mahathir who are Chinese ! 

For years, Mahathir had fanned the racial sentiments of the Malays to the point that Malays, who are naturally accommodative, some have been turned into racists and exclusive in behaviour.  At the same time, he has always insulted the Malays by accusing them of being lazy, that he had failed to reform the Malay mind and that the Malays are a forgetful lot.

Najib, on the other hand had always said that "the time that the Government thinks it knows all is over". His entire GTP, ETP, transformation programs and the latest TN2050 are al bottom up.  

The fact that Mahathir knows that he has never intended Malaysia to be united as one Nation is evidenced by the fact that he had chosen to start a new political party, Pribumi which is race based as his platform to fight UMNO.  At least Anwar Ibrahim believed in multi ethnic and multi cultural philosophy by starting the PKR. Mahathir never has believed in reforms towards true Malaysian unity.

Mahathir conjures up magic which only he believes in. For 22 years he painted DAP as a racist communist party and Lim Kit Siang as an evil that the Malay cannot support. Today, he is prepared to destroy UMNO, second time, using DAP and Kit Siang. 

So, is Mahathir a nationalist or a racist or an Islamist or a liberalist or all rolled into one? Mahathir is magic ! He is everyone to anyone. 

The latest song that Mahathir keeps drumming up to the boredom of Malaysians is !MDB, IMDB, IMDB. He thinks Malaysians have forgotten the Bank Negara Forex scandal involving almost all of the central banks assets, BMF scandal, Mamimco, Perwaja Steel scandal, and MAS Financial scandal. The late Barry Wain who calls Mahathir a maverick in his book accuses Mahathir of squandering up to RM100 billion !

And where are all his cronies that he has made billionaires ? 

But Mahathir wants to do magic now ! 

SO, Malaysia is going to the polls with multi racial Barisan Nasional lead by the transformer PM Najib against a fragmented, no vision Pakatan headed by the Confused Democrat Dictator, Mahathir who is trying his last sleight of hand magic on the Malaysian voters !

But he has 22 years of experience - of mismanaging the country !

And what does Mahathir sell to the voters ? Remove Najib and Malaysia will be prosperous, united and free !!! 

Thats his solution and he expects the voters to be stupid to believe him.
