MALAYSIAN AG APANDI ALI IS CORRUPT?
MALAYSIAN AG APANDI ALI IS CORRUPT?
In a shocking
revelation, Raja Petra the blogger wrote that Apandi Ali, the Attorney General
of Malaysia is tainted with corrupt practices. When Raja Petra writes, there is
usually an element of truth in it - at least 80% ! Many
Malaysians read his blog to find out what is actually happening and often, what
is going to happen in Malaysian politics.
Anyway, since Raja
Petra's revelation, quite a few have come forward to expose his so called
corrupt practices, even when Apandi Ali was a senior Judge in the Malaysian
appellate courts. There are now rumours that the fate of the current Chief of
the Malaysian Anti Corruption body, Dzulkifli Ibrahim, is
due to his impeding investigation of corrupt practices by the Apandi as AG of
Malaysia. Ironically, Apandi seemed to have jumped the gun by forming a task
force to investigate Dzulkifle instead ! In Malaysia, investigations are
carried out by the police force and never the Attorney general's office.
Dzulkifli is alleged
to be involved in a scandal with a married woman. Nazran, who was Dzulkifli's
special officer has been recalled back to the Attorney general's office to work
under Apandi. Nazran was even rewarded with an honorary title of
"Datuk" by one of the States while his boss (Dzulkifli) was accused
of the scandal ! The question people are asking is: is it an inside job to fix
Dzulkifli because of his investigation against Apandi?
Azeez Rahim, a member
of Parliament and a ground general of Najib is also implicated by Raja Petra.
Those in the know are aware that Apandi and Azeez are thick buddies as Azeez
had him appointed in Tabung Haji, a government linked company, as a director.
Malaysians and the Malaysian
Bar Council (body of Malaysian lawyers) is
watching these developments closely as it may erode confidence in the Attorney
general Chamber's body. All
things considered, many are of the opinion that Apandi's days are numbered.
Many recall the mistake he made at the press conference of trying to exonerate
Najib of 1MDB charges by raising a poster that apparently showed monies used to
pay Najib's credit card. Was this also planned to trouble Najib ?
The question that
Najib will finally have to face is: Where can he find a replacement Attorney
General without bagges which will be gain the confidence of the Malaysian
public?
Wait for more things
to unfold !
